Simply put, there is no “best race”, each person will have their own opinions and banter about the relations between
races but the choice should always be up to the user. Races only really affect the gameplay during the very start
of the game; innate points can be refunded via resetting points with a Mindwipe Tonic, and players won't alienate new
players for simply making a choice based on preference.
The choice of a race and its weight is completely dependent on the person. Determine your own criteria, be it ; their lore & appearance, current playerbase, potential, or faction-and go from there.
Races don't lock you out of content, nor do they give outstanding advantages that single-handedly enable the execution of specific builds.
you can associate with who you wish, and do what you wish.
After having picked a race, you'll be prompted to go through the tutorial.
Once having done that, it's recommended to progress through basic quests and acclimate to the environment of the first shard.
Head over to Locfel via the /shard 1 command, and explore your environment as you get a handle on of the server's mechanics & systems.
Once you've filled your inventory with items, head on over to the overworld via /world and /rtp, and claim a nice spot of land that you would like to call home.
To do this, perform the /kit claim command or craft a golden shovel and select the 2 extremities of the area.
Don't forget to set a home via /sethome (name)!
While the CinderRPG is playable in Singleplayer mode, it does not provide the core experience of the server.
Singleplayer mode is great to test out mod-sided interactions and to work on builds.
However, it does not contain elements that are necessary to progress through the mods, nor will it contain integral mechanics that are made specifically for the server.
To view the current mods in CinderRPG, you can refer to the Loaded Mods button, found to the right of the Main Menu.
Alternatively you can open your the modpack's mods folder. This can be easily done by clicking on Modpack Options, then opening the Install Folder, on technic launcher.
If you wish to view a more concise list of relevant mods, alongside a list of useful guides and links for them, then refer to our Guide Page.
Races are integral to many aspects and themes of Cinder. They cannot be changed.
However, a player's gameplay does not require any implication with races, and can simply regard them as cosmetics if they feel the need to.
For more information on what races are, and what they do, feel free to refer to our Mechanics Page.
You can reset your skills, including initial points added by your race, by using a Mindwipe Tonic.
The first one can be obtained in the AllHollows Crypts Dungeon, in shard 1.
To create a guild, simply do /guild create (name), and invite your friends with /guild invite (name).
If you're looking to join a guild, then why not ask around? Players are always looking for more members to bolster their numbers with. Head on over to the #guild-recruitement channel, in the discord, and have a look for current listings or advertise yourself with your own recruitment post.
Happy hunting!
Yes, you can play with friends from other races.
While races have unique traits and relations, they do not restrict your ability to interact with others.
Who you associate with and how these relations affect your experience of the server is completely up to you.
Generally it's always safe to pick classes depending on your current situation, or simply based on personal preference.
If you're playing with friends that intend on spending points in combat classes, then why not buff them with Apothecary potions, provide cover fire with destruction magic and arrows, gather resources and funds with better efficacy via the Treasure Hunter, Collector, and Thief classes?
Alternatively, you could first prioritise optimising individual levels, allocating the vast majority of your points towards 1 combat class, and allowing you to level up at a faster pace.
Once you've levelled up to an adequate level, you can use a Mindwipe Tonic to respec your points into whichever path you wish.
While mending is the common choice for vanilla minecraft, CinderRPG adds Repair kits, which fully repair the item in your first slot, and Armor repair kits fix, which fully repair the entire set of armor you are currently wearing.
These are crucial during longer fights and for general QoL. They both can be found within Woven Sacks & Treasure Chests, but can also be crafted.
Wares can be sold in multiple ways, notably signs can be attached to chests with the following format per line :
[Player Username]; [Amount per click]; B or/and S [Price]; [Item ID]
Buying (B) and Selling (S) is seen through the perspective other players.
If the format had been followed correctly, you will receive a notification within chat.
Alternatively, wares can be purchased, sold, or traded, without tax, via /ah (auction house) and the #market channel within discord.
You can learn about all the mods within the pack via our Guide page.
If the information & link to their respective wikis are not located within the guide page, feel free to ask around in the Discord or suggest its addition in the next update of the wiki.
Cinder's very own Mechanics can also be learned within the wiki.
Have a look around and feel free to contact a member of the Wiki team if you happen to find something incomplete.
Schematica and Litematica are both allowed on the server. The hologram and printer features do not provide a competitive advantage, however can be quite useful when recreating singleplayer builds into the server.
Litematica is recommend over Schematica, however a version of Malilib for 1.12.2 and the removal of the VanillaFix mod are required for the mod to function.
Check your allocated RAM to make sure it's at least 3.5 GB (3-6 is recommended), however do not exceed 50% of your total RAM. If you cannot see the option to improve it to 3.5 or higher then you need to update your Java Runtime Environment. If this does not work then seek assistance in the BHS Discord.
Your launcher may be using 32-bit Java. If your operating system is also 32-bit, unfortunately, you're limited to 1 gig. However, if you have a 64-bit system, try downloading 64-bit Java. Minecraft usually recognizes the latest Java installation, allowing for increased memory options. Keep in mind, it's not recommended to allocate more than 6 GB, 3-6 is the sweet spot.
A workaround for this has been posted in this Thread.
CinderRPG's server does not have support for cracked clients due to its usage of the minecraft authentication servers. An official version of minecraft java edition is required in order to experience the game as, whilst playable, singleplayer mode does not offer the full experience.
If you've claimed or placed a chest nearby, use the /claimlist command to locate coordinates of the area. Then get there at a faster pace, try asking around for players nearby or try using /rtp for a random teleport. Remember to do /sethome (name) once you get back!

A "Backpack" in cinder is known as a Witch's Pouch. These are essentially separate Ender Chests awarded upon completion of very specific quests within the shard worlds, or purchased via Shares (See Shop).
In order to reduce JEI, it's recommended to simply type gibberish in the search bar (eg. eee), else toggle the menu by using Ctrl+O, by default.
Season 4 is currently in early Beta. There is no intention of resetting the server anytime soon for a 5th season. Considering the period of prior seasons, this season will likely last another 2 years at the very least.
The server restarts every 6 hours. Keep an eye out on the in-game message to find out what time that is relative to your time zone.
Shares are a premium currency, given with every purchase and redeemed monthly by supporter ranks. The amount of shares gained varies with the price of the purchase, with a significant boost to server-wide bonuses, such as crate key explosions.
Various items can be bought using shares in the supporter shop, located behind the guild hall.
Mods that mostly affect the QOL of the game are completely allowed, we even have a list in our discord. However, malicious mods or ones that provide unfair advantages are against the server's rules. Players found abusing advantages such as automated actions/macros, Xray, or other cheats will be punished.
